Be sure it's not a case of file overwritten... Someone might have dumped the unsuccessful recovery on the patient drive before binging it to you. Try a full scan of the image with R-Studio

You cant read ROM directly from USB, the COM Port isn't present. But you transfer the IC602 chip to compatible SATA PCB.

Am very sorry if that sounds rude to you. Maxtor Diamond requires more experience, and probably a special tool like HDDSurgery and from your question, I really don't think you have handled such case before.

I totally agree with Larry, the computer technicians needs it more. In addition, every Part (PCB, ROM AND LABEL) of Patient's Drive should be intact, either way, should Data Recovery be successful or Not.

I think the Password is generated for all their clients. You just need to send a mail to their support team, and within a minute or two you get your password.

Yes, it came out of MyPassport Ultra and Its was descrypted during the imaging process with PC-3000.

Immediately you convert to SATA, data is encrypted..... You have options: Try to get MY BOOK adapter board, connect to the destination drive, that will handle the encryption perfectly or you Upgrade your PC-3000 or Outsource the Project. Its an easy Job with the right tool.

From what you have imaged so far, why not ask the client for the particular files needed. You never can tell. I know if head 2 is bad, you might not get file structures except raw files.

Instead of getting so many fairly used tools, why not try and buy one great new tool. You can go for PC-3000 UDMA-E or DDI 4 + USB Add-on. Any of this can help you get better in this profession.

I have actually tried removing some stubborn particles from platter with a blower. All I did was just to remove the head and use the blower, and it has actually worked.

This is an interesting topic, I have once used a cotton board and 99% alcohol to clean up a portion of HDD with fingerprints, I was able to read data off the Platter, but I changed r/w heads three times. Don't know if it was as a result of the cleaning.
