Many people are curious as to how a free evaluation works. First of all it is completely free there is no charge whatsoever to evaluate your hard drive.  Evaluations can usually be completed within 24 hours of receiving the hard drive (during business hours).  The evaluation is a very important step into finding out more of what happened to the drive. What exactly failed on the drive? Is the big question, and the evaluation will be able to diagnose it. So from there we would be able to give a quote (set figure not hourly) to get your data back.  Once you receive your quote you are under no obligations to proceed with recovery. If you decide that you do not want to proceed at this time we would advise that you hold onto your hard drive and put it in a safe place. You never know years down the road you may change your mind and opt for recovery. But still even if you opt out of recovery there is no charge up to this point. If you do approve recovery the only up front cost would be for donor parts (if any are needed).  The cost of these parts are non-refundable. However the labor is due upon completion of a successful recovery. If the recovery is unsuccessful there is no charge for our labor.  That is our guarantee.
