Yes, boot ROM mode and only PCB. Not connected to HDA.

About the drive:
The client brought it saying that it doesn't work. He already had the drive removed from the USB enclosure.
I saw that the PCB have a sticker in chinese and another saying: Donor PCB. The client claims that the PCB is the original one tough...
The drive doesn't even spin up. I want to confirm with him that the PCB is not the original in first place, without going further.
I can remove the chip and read it too (I was trying avoid to work on the PCB...)
