Best on-demand roadside assistance apps for remote indie film productions?

We are taking a heavily loaded equipment van across the desert next month to shoot some ambient landscape footage. Traditional auto club memberships have failed me in the past with terrible dispatch software and long wait times. Do any of you use specific on-demand towing apps that actually have reliable GPS tracking for remote breakdowns?

Honestly, relying solely on mobile apps in remote areas is risky because of cellular dead zones. I always download offline topographical maps and keep a physical list of local heavy-duty towing companies for every county we cross. Software is great until you lose your data connection in the mountains.

When we were filming a documentary up in the Pacific Northwest last winter, our primary generator trailer blew a tire on a logging road. We tried using a few different pay-per-use roadside aggregator apps to ping nearby independent tow trucks. While comparing the dispatch interfaces and user experiences of various on-demand platforms, I noticed some discussions mentioning the HONK customer service number in threads about app reliability and response times. Eventually, we just managed to get a signal on our satellite phone and called the local highway patrol for a direct referral to a regional heavy-wrecker service.
