I had the same problem in the same model and nothing helped. Turns out there was a problem on platter 0 and when load firmeware from sa 0 it caused slowness in all platters. Luckily in my case platter 1 was ok so I booted from head 1 suddenly the reading speed was normal on all platters except...

I have the same problem with two cards.One has the right capacity the second has 5.7GB both are full of repeating pattern data but no files after scan.Customer claims card from digital camera not from smartphone.

But I want to cut physically or bend patient drive head 01 . When I tried on good drive to edit SA regions 1 like 0, then disable head 01 in rom, drive make one click and won't id after power on again.

Drive clicks can't id. Is it possible to recover data from good platter 0 ? Is it possible hot swap on those drives ? Is it possible to disable head 01 in rom without make drive click after power on ?

Actually maybe all is right,just get nervous from this millions of sectors like this,after a while they stop then come again, is this the remnants of deleted files ?

I even can't read modules by id it was extremely slow. But I found temporary solution,I boot drive from head 01 and boom reading at full speed and backup fw. But now I have another problem,the decryption key works for first 7000000 sectors then data returns to be encryption.

I cleared smart,untick enable reallocate,and still all heads in all area reading at 10kb :( Is it can be low motor speed ?

I replaced the heads and now reading is extremely slow,did slow fix in MRT and it say ok but nothing changed. I'm not sure it is the standard wd slow issue,after power on the drive get id pretty fast but then start to be slow this will be every time I power on the drive.

Is this can be done ? I'm trying to read modules by hot swap in model wd20nmvw (shrek),after put sata pcb I can read modules from current disk fine but if doing hot swap to another (even good drive) same model and fw I can't read modules (and both drives have same dir location) .

Having accumulated experience in difficult cases with other brands I started prepare myself to work with toshiba , then I noticed you can't do hot swap and disable heads in rom in toshiba drives what raised the question how can you deal in media damage cases that I do get from time to...

So no ID and you want to READ DATA from other good platters (after good cleaning) ,what options pc-3000 has to deal with it ?

If toshiba platter 01 has huge deep scratch of course disk will click when power on,and you want to read data from other good platters (after good cleaning) ,what options pc-3000 has to deal with it ?

For example if platter 01 damaged, disable head in DE wont help but in other brands you have options to read other platters by disable heads in rom (or cut physically) or do hot swap,what can be done with Toshiba on this issue ?
