Hdd WDC WD10TMVW-11ZSMS4 with USB PCB 2060-771761-001

ROM Size: 256KB

MRT not ID but WD Marvel tools identify model and its size with USB PCB

Marvel.jpg

I can save modules which are in RAM (Static files ) but can't read any modules from Platters getting "SCSI error 00000000".

so tried in SATA PCB

2060-771692-005 ( 512KB) and 2060-771692-005 (256KB) both clicks and spin down.
also tried 2060-771692-006 that also click and spin down

By USB PCB no clicks and Head reads some imp modules from platter to RAM but SATA PCB clicks and spin-down.

any solution?

Update:

After Converting USB PCB to SATA Connection by Remove CAPS and connect SATA connector with USB Power.

Can read all sectors with only 8 bad sectors by MRT Decryption, All Data Recovered.

my question is what is the actual SATA PCB for USB PCB 2060-771761-001 (256KB ROM)

I tried 2060-771692-005 (512KB and 256KB) and 2060-771692-006 (256KB) all Failed.

Which version of 2060-771692 is SATA PCB for 2060-771761-001 ?

Note: Posted in Hddguru but all are bsy

771692 is the correct board. If memory serves me correctly, I think the -002 Rev A is the revision with the greatest compatibility. If the patient ROM size is smaller, you can just pad it with zeros at the end to match the donor board's larger ROM size.

Also, have to be careful of embedded vs external ROMs. If donor was an embedded ROM (I don't think applies to this board) you have to use a donor that has embedded ROM as well, and the same if it was an external ROM.
