Got this WD, that I can't ID using terminal cable. I get a Tecno Key Error, Drive is not Ready. It should at least read ROM, right?
Bad PCB?
The drive doesn't click or bad noises.

Sometimes these USB ones are temperamental about allowing access to anything via COM connection. Sometimes it just works, sometimes you have to block the preamp, and sometimes all you can do is read ROM through boot ROM code (usually always works).
