Stiction Drives

Hey guys

Got 3 cases of stiction this week. One Seagate, One Toshiba and one WD.
Two out of 3 went well. Guess which one failed?? :twisted: :twisted:

It was the damn WD... One head slipped right off. :evil: :evil:
The other two was just bringing them back to the ramp.

I don't know if its just me, but i was not able to successfully release the heads of a WD drive with "stiction" so far and I have come across a handful of them. One or more heads tend to always break off against the ramp... :twisted:

Really, I just did one this week and imaged 99.9% without changing the heads.

how much charge jared for similar cases ? the same price as head replacement without the Part price or could make discount because of[shadow=black]quick recovery :p[/shadow] ?
