Software-only ECU editor

I’m looking into ECU calibration software and noticed that some products are sold as software rather than as a complete hardware kit. What should I check before choosing one? I’d want to know which ECUs it supports, whether I need a separate flashing tool, and if the software is intended for editing existing calibration files or for reading and writing the ECU as well. It would be helpful to compare the actual product details in one place.

Those distinctions matter: an editor and a flashing tool can serve different parts of the workflow, so check the supported ECUs and required hardware before purchasing. ECUTools recently listed TCEPro, a software-only editor from the TCLab team. The listing describes the product, but you should review its detailed compatibility information and confirm that it suits your setup. You can browse the catalog and product information at ECUTools https://ecutools.eu/
