Seagate terminal access -- timing of read channel shorting

1. Did you just let it sit for a few minutes to see if it would just eventually give terminal access?
2. Sometimes I find it is just the PCB that is giving all the grief. Backup the ROM and program a donor PCB and try again.

Hi Luke. Yeah, left it for a couple of hours after Ctrl+z many times throughout. Could never get F3 T>. I'll try another PCB and see if any change. Thanks for the suggestions.

EDIT: Tried with a known-good PCB and no change. Cleaned the grungy HDA connector pads on the patient and checked it again, too. No joy. Results with all heads but 0 disabled give same as before. Can't get F3 T for love nor money. Anyway, back it goes.

Once in a While We Do Get Drive That are A Pain In The You Know what i am trying to say .I had spend one day on one drive no joy had to return it .Very rarely it happens but it does happen
