":3ugcqj7w][post]6256[/post] Hi,
i am very sure 1 or more heads are bad in your case
even if the heads are dead why I cant perform any terminal command ?? Does it correlated for this seagate model ??

I actually tend to disagree. I think that module 17A is damaged. Notice that Sim Error 1009.

That's not to say you don't have a bad head, it's certainly possible. But, you definitely have an issue with that module.

Try following this guide: http://ts.acelaboratory.com/index.php?/ ... a-sys-file

I'd also suspect there's a media cache problem from some other messages in there. So you'll want to disable that too, it's probably what's preventing terminal access. Let me know if you need remote help to handle this one.

Well,
For sure Sim 1009 is a issue with 17a sys file .But the reason many times is a bad or utterly weak head .I would suggest once he is able to revive the drive he does cloning head wise and disables the head thats the weakest .I disable SMP pages in all seagates i get jared
