Seagate Grenada ProcessRWError

I've got this DM drive here that I'm now on my second head swap. First time it worked for a whole five minutes then shut down. This time it again ID'd when first powered on, was busy re-allocating sectors so I went in and disabled that in RAM which seemed to stabilize it. Then I stupidly went ahead and disabled it in the SA just in-case I needed to power cycle it later (not realizing that the utility automatically power cycles it when it's done writing to the SA  ).

Now it just stays busy and gives this in terminal:
ProcessRWError -Read- at LBA 0000000000087BA5 Sense Code=C4090082

and it just keeps going like that. Any ideas about how I can break this cycle and get this thing to work again? I know the heads survived the swap at least.

Possibly, this is the second head swap and both times I got one startup out of it. The first time I even got to backup the resources which went fine. I'm thinking there's damage elsewhere on the platters and it's just killing the heads. Which is why it only starts up once, but not again after that.

This time its at least not clicking, but just keeps spinning and returning this message. I think I'm gonna try moving over the head adaptives and see if it helps.

Well, that didn't help any. Same response. IRS, you seem to be very knowledgeable of what these Seagate readouts mean. Any ideas? This is a new one to me, though I presume it means it's not fully reading some part of the SA.

Here's the full terminal log of what it's saying now... It's not counting nearly as long now.

Then it just stops and stays bsy forever. Still spinning, just sitting there.

Was actually just looking into trying that. Though, I'm not quite sure how that's gonna get me data access afterward....

maybe by disable the head causing the problem
but first you have to get access to drive & terminal & get out from busy state

Managed to get terminal access through shorting the read channel. Was able to manually read module 93, but it doesn't seem to allow it to write back after editing. Head test looks good as far as I can tell. Looks like it can't completely read module 28 from either head 0 or 1 though. So I'm guessing that might be the problem. I wish I'd managed to back it up the couple times it did work for me.... trying now to read one sector at a time.... though I'm not quite sure what it'll accomplish if I can't get it to write the module back...
