I use this small TreePad file on a daily basis and it contains years of work. I probably have a two year (or so) backup of this file but I'd still loose 2 years of work. The file is on a 1 tb ssd. Most likely the file got corrupted when - having the file open - my computer lost current. Chkdsk /f /r did not show any bad sectors hence it did not produce a 'found.000' as I had hoped. I read that hex edit software is not for non-specialists. What would be my options?
