In Microsoft Outlook 2016, PST (Personal Storage Table) files are used to store data such as emails, contacts, calendars, notes, etc. Many times, users set a password on their PST file to prevent it from being misused. But in case you forget the password or no longer need the security, you may want to remove the password.
Note before removing the password:
You need to know the password to remove it. If you have forgotten the password, you may need to seek help from third-party tools.
Microsoft Outlook itself does not provide a password recovery option.
I recently tried to open an old Outlook PST file, but I had forgotten the password. When nothing worked after several attempts, I searched the Internet and found
Softaken PST Password Removal Software.
It was quite easy to use—just load the file, and the password is removed in seconds. The best part was that there was no damage to my data, and the whole process was user-friendly. If you have also forgotten the password of your PST file and Outlook is not able to access it, then I would say that the Softaken PST Password Removal Tool is a good option.
