Navigating employer HSA transitions and managing healthcare funds?

My company is switching our Health Savings Account (HSA) administrator next month. I have a decent balance built up from the last three years of paying for my kids' braces and my own physical therapy. Has anyone gone through a corporate HSA transition? What happens to the invested funds, and is there usually a blackout period for debit cards?

Check if your current funds are invested in mutual funds. During my employer's switch, my investments had to be liquidated to cash before they could transfer the balance to the new administrator. It took about a month for the funds to settle so I could reinvest them.

When my husband's construction company changed their benefits platform, I spent an entire weekend researching how different administrators handle the account migration process. I was reading through various user experiences online, like https://benefitwallet.pissedconsumer.com/review.html to understand typical timelines for receiving the new welcome packets and debit cards. The transition is usually automated by HR, and if any tax forms get delayed, customer service can usually mail duplicates. Just make sure to download all your old monthly statements for your own tax records before the old portal closes.
