My contact list doubled after importing VCF files. How can I clean it?

I recently imported multiple VCF files into my contacts, and now many entries are appearing two or three times. My contact list has become cluttered, making it difficult to find the correct information. Manually checking and deleting duplicates would take a lot of time. Is there an easy way to identify and remove duplicate contacts from VCF files without losing any important details?

Your contacts doubled mostly because the same VCF file got imported twice, or the VCF already had duplicate contacts inside it.
First, take a backup of your current contacts. After that, check your contact app. Google Contacts, iCloud, Outlook, and many phone contact apps have a merge or duplicate contacts option. You can use that to join contacts with the same phone number or email.

If the VCF file has too many contacts, manual checking will take time. In that case, the Softaken vCard Duplicate Remover can be useful. It lets you add one or more VCF files and remove duplicate contacts by checking fields like name, email, and mobile number.
My simple advice: always clean a copy of the VCF file first, not the original file.
