Managing Charity Subscriptions

My grandmother has been receiving multiple inspirational magazines and charity mailers from various non-profits. I am trying to help her organize her finances and reduce clutter. Has anyone navigated pausing or consolidating these types of non-profit subscriptions for an elderly relative?

I helped my grandfather with this last year. He was getting overwhelmed with mailings from animal charities. We ended up setting up a dedicated email for him and moving his favorites to digital. For the physical ones, you usually have to write a letter or call them directly.

I had a similar experience when I was organizing my mom's finances. She loved reading those uplifting monthly booklets and had a few active accounts. I gathered all the invoices to handle the cancellations at once. Some were easy to do online, while others required a phone call. I remember needing a guideposts phone number to finally stop the automatic renewals on her account. Once I had the right contact details, it was just a matter of reading off her subscriber ID.
