Has anyone ever arrived at a hotel abroad only to find that the reservation wasn’t actually confirmed on the hotel’s side? I’m planning a long trip through Portugal and Morocco, and I’m worried about third-party platforms not syncing correctly with hotels.

I had a similar issue in Marrakech. The hotel hadn’t received the reservation from the intermediary at all. They solved it quickly, but it delayed check-in by almost an hour. Now I double-check all my bookings, especially when traveling during busy holiday periods.
