Is it worth buying a townhouse in Dubai?

I'm thinking about buying my own property in Dubai. A few of my clients moved there and they're completely blown away by the quality of life. But I'm guessing a villa or a penthouse with a pool would cost a fortune, that's not something I could swing. A townhouse seems like it'd be cheaper though. Is that worth considering for actually living there, and where can I even check prices for something like that?

Townhouses actually make a lot of sense in Dubai once you factor in maintenance costs, not just the sticker price. A villa with its own pool means you're paying for pool cleaning, landscaping, the works, month after month. Townhouses usually come with shared amenities instead, so you get a pool and a gym without footing the whole bill yourself.

The area matters just as much as the property type when it comes to what you'll actually pay. Some communities run way higher just because of the name attached to them, while others offer basically the same layout for a fraction of the cost. It lets you filter by price range and location so you can see what's realistic before getting your hopes up.
