DFU (Device Firmware Upgrade) mode is regarded as the ultimate flash state that can put your iOS device into where it can interface with iTunes but does not load the iBoot (bootloader on iOS devices). It allows all devices to be restored from any state. DFU mode can help solve many ios problems and it is really easy to operate.

If you want to enter DFU mode, this post is worth reading:

for iPhone 8/X/XR/XS:
1.Plug your iPhone X or iPhone 8 into your Mac or PC.
2.Make sure iTunes is running.
3.Turn Off your iPhone X or iPhone 8 (if it isn't already).
4.Press and hold down the On/Off button on the right side of your iPhone for 3 seconds.
5.Press and hold down the volume down button on the left side of your iPhone while still holding down the On/Off button.
6.Keep holding both buttons down for 10 seconds. (If you see the Apple logo, you've held them too long and will need to start again.)
7.Let go of the On/Off Button but keep holding the volume down button for about 5 seconds. (If you see the "Plug into iTunes" screen, then you've held it too long and will need to start again.)
8.If the screen stays black, that's it! Your iPhone should now be in DFU mode.
For iPhone 7/7 Plus:
1.Plug in your iPad or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC.

3.2Swipe the slide to power off slider to the right.
4.Press and hold down the On/Off button on the top of your device for 3 seconds.

6.Keep holding both buttons down for 10 seconds. (If you see the Apple logo, you've held them too long and will need to start again.)

Just add more info for 'How to put iPhone and iPad in DFU mode' in simple words. Maybe you can have a try. :)

For iPad (with Home button), iPhone 6s and earlier, press and hold Home and Power buttons simultaneously for about 8 seconds. Release Power button but keep pressing the Home button until the screen turns black.

For iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time for about 8 seconds. Release Power button but keep holding the Volume Down button until the screen is black.

For iPad (without Home button), iPhone 8, X and later, press the Volume Up button and then release it quickly. Then press the Volume Down button and then release it quickly. Next hold the Power button until you see the screen become black.
