How Can I Save Attachments from Hundreds of EML Files Without Opening Each Email Individually?

I have a large collection of EML files that were exported from an old email account. The files contain important attachments, but opening each email one by one and saving the attachments manually would take a huge amount of time.

I'm looking for a practical way to extract attachments from hundreds of EML files at once while keeping everything organized. Ideally, I'd like to save the attachments to a folder without affecting the original EML files.

Has anyone found an efficient method for handling this kind of task?

When you have hundreds of EML emails with attachments, opening each message one by one is slow and error‑prone. A better method is to use a dedicated attachment extraction tool that works directly with EML and EMLX files. Softaken EML Attachment Extractor lets you load multiple EML files together and pull attachments out in bulk. It preserves the original email formatting and folder structure while saving all attached files like PDF, DOC, XLS, PNG and others to a chosen folder. The software also helps avoid duplicate attachments based on filename and file size. The interface is simple and works on all Windows systems from Windows 7 to Windows 11. This method saves time and keeps email properties intact.
