I ran into the same problem when I had an old PST backup but Outlook wasn’t installed on my system anymore. Most guides online tell you to open Outlook and export contacts, which obviously doesn’t help if Outlook isn’t there. What actually worked for me was using a PST to vCard converter that reads the PST file directly. You just add the PST file and it shows all contacts instantly, then export them into vCard. I used WholeClear PST to vCard Converter and it saved me from reinstalling Outlook or doing any complicated steps. Within a few minutes I had all contacts in VCF format ready to use in Gmail and on my phone. If your goal is just to get contacts out of PST without setting up Outlook again, this is honestly the quickest way I found.
