Hitachi Iomega Home Media Network

Hi Guys

Got a Hitachi 3TB that was pulled from a Iomega Home Media Network case.
It is formated on XFS partition and I could get access to the files and folders (full name, size, etc), but the files are corrupted.
Can this be any kind of encryption? I can't find any info about this.
Thanks

Hi

The client only said that he stopped having access to the data.
The drive shows no problems (I imaged it just in case too).
I'm using UFS Explorer.

Cheers

Perform a signature based scan (RAW recovery) just to test files. If RAW files are good, then data is not encrypted.

Yeah, I'm thinking it might be a matter of the data being shifted. This is a common issue on Mac recoveries, though I'm not too sure whether XFS has the same sort of issues. Might be just a matter of manually defining the partition range.

It seems that the problem appeared after a FW upgrade of the Iomega box....
Maybe it corrupted the data.
Need to investigate more.
