im using SystemRescueCd its a live linux boot OS. can you interpt the following results

it doesnt matter to me if the drive is dead or alive im just trying to understand the results so i can learn from this and maybe understand because i have a whole bunch of drives that im gonna be testing ( i have a fair bit of down time at the moment)

Should i be using a different boot cd to test drives? on the partedmagic iso i use Testdisk and photorec for recovery. i have NOT used testdisk on this disk yet

You want to test a drive's health, right?
Go for Victoria HDD for instance. Check surface of the drive.
Also check SMART.
Those will tell you how the drive is and if't worth to continue to use it or not
