My company uses this software. When I recently sent my laptop in for repair, I removed the HDD (Seagate Laptop Thin 500Gb) and put substituted a drive without any data. While my laptop was in for repair, I attempted to read the drive I had retained by hooking it up as an aux drive in an external USB/HDD adapter. I was unable to read anything on the drive. Once the laptop came back, I reinstalled the HDD, but it was unusable. The drive checked out ok when I run the diagnostics. Just wondering if anyone knows if the problem is due to the security software or if it is more likely that the drive was corrupted/damaged by something else. If it's the security software, then I would hope I could get the vendor to recover the drive.
