Checkpoint/Endpoint Security

My company uses this software. When I recently sent my laptop in for repair, I removed the HDD (Seagate Laptop Thin 500Gb) and put substituted a drive without any data. While my laptop was in for repair, I attempted to read the drive I had retained by hooking it up as an aux drive in an external USB/HDD adapter. I was unable to read anything on the drive. Once the laptop came back, I reinstalled the HDD, but it was unusable. The drive checked out ok when I run the diagnostics. Just wondering if anyone knows if the problem is due to the security software or if it is more likely that the drive was corrupted/damaged by something else. If it's the security software, then I would hope I could get the vendor to recover the drive.

If the drive was only removed and after the repair installed again, there's no reason no to work...
The HDD had any other kind of password or encryption software?
