Can I move DBX emails to Outlook without losing attachments?

I need to migrate several DBX files from Outlook Express to Outlook PST. My main concern is that the email attachments and folder structure should not get changed after conversion. I also want to preview or check the DBX data before saving it. What is the safest way to convert DBX to PST on Windows without losing important email details?

Yes, DBX emails can be moved into Outlook PST without missing attachments, but make a separate copy of the source files before starting.
Why this matters:
Old DBX mailboxes may contain emails, folder paths, and attached files. If the migration method is not right, attachments may fail to open or folders may not appear in the same order.
Manual Method:
  1. Save all DBX files in a backup folder.
  2. Open them on a system where Outlook Express still works.
  3. Check some emails that include attachments.
  4. Move the mailbox through a supported email client.
  5. Import the final mailbox data into Microsoft Outlook.
  6. Review a few folders after import.
Manual work is difficult now because Outlook Express is not available on most new Windows systems.
By professional user Suggestion is :
If the manual route is not possible, GainTools DBX to PST Converter can be tried on one DBX file first. It lets users preview DBX data, select required files, choose an output path, and save the emails into PST format while keeping attachments and folder structure organized.
Useful Tip:
Try the free demo first to preview DBX emails and check attachments before converting the full mailbox.
