+1 for zero fill. Just make sure it's the same size file, and fill with zeros.

Sometimes its not readable i have experienced it before ,Along With We Are Unable To Parse sys files even if we read rom then it becomes and cat and mouse situation

Even if it's not readable you can still attempt to write a zero filled module over it. Sometime it'll take.
