I wondered if anyone had a saved LDR for the following:
ROM version............................. : 04.17H0
Module 4F F/W version................... : 00040017
Overlay F/W version..................... : 04.17H0
Servo F/W version....................... : A8.1U
It's from a failed WD40EMAZ-11ZRJB0...
Hello,
Any chance you could take a quick look in this ROM. The "82 02" and "C2 02" donor I have used cannot write to the SA suggesting a mismatch.

Model : ST1000LM035-1RK172
Serial : WL15364S
Firmware : ACM2

Hello all,
Well, it didn't take long. I received in my first PC-Shop mangled PCB that was on a Spyglass2 HDD. The PCB shop tried removing the ROM chip. That went wrong, and they managed to bend the PCB so that the BGA chip has detached. The original fault was that the USB connector was broken...
Hello Jared,
I am not sure if you have had the opportunity to use one of those PCBs yet? I presume the aim of this PCB adapter is only to allow access to the SA to access the firmware? That is, it is not possible to read the disk in an unencrypted format as the encryption keys are controlled by...
For:
On USB 701672 the SATA equivalent 771672 it is necessary to check the final three characters and REV version as this defines the slight variation in the SH6601 motor controller. Wrong version and the HDD will not spin up.

John
Hello all,
Just to add to the Diablo3D / Diablo3S compatibility:
I've just been working on a failed Diablo3D. It was using a head-map of 0145 and I was struggling to find a suitable donor. I tried using a Diablo3S, with suitable DCM and microjogs. It provided some unusual results. It was...
Something I have spent some time scratching my head on this afternoon, for the PCB listed as:
2060-771737-000 rev A
I had a Helios in, which used a 512KB ROM. Most of these use 256KB ROM, as do the SATA equivalent PCB. Consequently, I decided to transplant the chip as I could not find any...
Hello,
We've just received one of these in ( SSDSCKKF256H6 ). It has similar symptoms to the SSD you had. SSD enters 'ready' on PC3000, but any command causes the SSD to enter BSY. Were you able to get your SSD into a work Tech mode or get any functionality from it?
Thanks,
John

Hello Jared,
Did you get anywhere with this SSD? I've received one in (SSDSCKKF256H6). Same symptoms as your SSD. On power on gets to 'ready' in PC3000, but on any command enters BSY. I presume you could not get it into a working tech mode?
Thanks,
John
