Hi Guys
Today I want to share with you a case that I'm working on.
Got a 2,5" WD drive that I could image but with some bad zones (bad sectors). The initial part of the HDD could not be read though.
After the image, I passed several recovery software (R-Studio, UFS and Reclaime) and they all could find the folder tree but the files came out ALL corrupted. I found it very strange, because there were plenty of areas that could be read perfectly. I could accept some corrupted files, but not all....
After several trials and tests, I decided to do a scan with DMDE and voilá, files are being recovered as we speak, and as expected, some corrupt files, but nothing serious.
I wonder why the other softwars could not manage this kind of failure of reconstruction of MFT....
