Website Rip-Off

Thu Jun 04, 2015 3:02 pm

Is it just me, or does it look like these guys totally ripped off the design of my homepage: http://www.dokterharddisk.com/

The similarity is uncanny. Or perhaps I ripped off their design without realizing it...... though I've never been there before five minutes ago...

True, but I completely redesigned my site just a month or so ago. I think it's actually a coincidence, just very similar look. I'm sure they're using the Divi theme too.

That's the problem of using templates... Someone can use it too.

Not according to copyscape.com, a free plagiarism checker.

Yeah, but that site in Indonesia even copied the colors I use which weren't part of the template. I had pulled those colors from an old Weebly template I used to use to keep a similar theme and make it easy to use my old graphics and still match the color scheme.

I don't really care though, still happy with my site and if someone wants to plagiarize it I'll take it as a compliment.
