Hi I have drive with this board 771801, is there any board except 771823 to use? or only 771823 compatible ?

That's the only one I know of, but maybe someone else knows of another.

Update: I tried some 80022-000 boards on some 4TB drives, none of them worked :(
What revision? I have used 2060-800022-000 REVP2 on a number of 4TB drives.

Same revision, I tried several different boards to the same result. One test was on a regular WD Passport 4TB, the other was on a G-DRIVE (rebranded WD Passport). Who knows why some work and some don't, I'll definitely keep trying and researching though.

I am in same point. I don't have 771823 pcb. My patient 771801.
I will try some another pcbs I guess

I solved my case with borrow someone 771823. Client get back patient disk . So 771801 not in my hand now.

Experience
771801 to 771823 not accept read and write rom with MRT. I usually use this method. Most model read and write ROM working nice. But this is not. I tried write rom with programmer also same. Not working. It's working only desolder rom and solder to donor. Strange.

I couldn't find another compatible PCB for 771801. Tried so many PCB with read and write. I don't have that pcb now. If I find again I would try check another PCB's with desolder and solder. I guessed 771959 and 771960 could work .

Well,
Knowledge is a factor that should not be ignored ,Its not cool to keep experimenting with eyes closed ,To match a SATA pcb to a USB PCB , MCU " Micro-controller " and Motor Controller Should Be Same ,How Can you just stuff 771959/771960 to a 771801 this is suicide killing the internal preamp cos the knowledge was really bad

[post]26[/post] 701675 - 701672, 701609, or 771672

On USB 701672 the SATA equivalent 771672 it is necessary to check the final three characters and REV version as this defines the slight variation in the SH6601 motor controller. Wrong version and the HDD will not spin up.

John
