Hope all is well!
I've run in to an issue with a WD My Passport drive. P/N: WDBAAC5000ACH-00. The drive powers on, but it's undetectable in Windows/Device Manager/WD Drive Utilities. I've attempted several USB ports, different machines and several cables, with no change. The drive last worked one month ago without any issues.
Here are the symptoms when powered on:
Power light turns on and stays solid for 1 minute
Power light begins blinking for about 30 seconds
Power light then stays solid permanently
When the issue first started, it was making abnormal sounds but it no longer makes those sounds, or any for that matter. It's completely silent now.
If anyone can help lead me to the right direction on how I can possibly either fix it or gain access to it in order to recover the files, would be greatly appreciated.
