Hi guys

for users of MRT: did you know about this feature? http://en.mrtlab.com/retrieving-users-p ... f-usb-hdds
I just found out about it. It seems it's for recovery of a lost password....
I wonder if it works....

Considering the source...probably not. That is, not without glitches.

It would be nice if Ace added a feature like this. Maybe they are working on it and it's just taking a while to come out with a version that actually works.

GPU accelerated cracking would be nice. Something like what Passware uses.

I have a friend that uses MRT and I help him most times with it....
Though they have made some significant improvement in their latest update, but for the lost or forgotten Password, it does remove it sometimes very fast and some other times it takes days and yet no result. MRT guys are really moving very fast and hope ACE is watching.. I was highly impressed with some functions in it.

I think MRT is a good imaging tool. I've been considering buying one for a while to just have some extra channels for that. However, I find their menus to be cluttered, disorganized, and overall just a mess compared to PC-3000.. Something that'll take me two seconds to do in PC-3000, like read a Seagate system file by terminal, will take an hour to even figure out how to accomplish on MRT.

And the "Chinglish" is terrible. That shows the kind of attention they give to details.
Although that have no impact in efficiency, personally I don't like bad translations or typo...
