Hello everyone, here's my issue. The female part of the usb came off the board while trying to connect, so I ordered and received a new PCB. I've been told thru online research to swap 2 chips from the old board to the new one. IC602 and IC606. My question is, would I have to swap any chips to recovery my data if I got the G003138A SATA board ?

Yes, you have to swap only IC602 (if I remember correctly and if you don't have tools to read or write them).
Be very careful to remove it. They are very sensitive and could get damage very easy.

Thanks for your reply. Is there any other way to retrieve the data without swapping any chips ?

With a Toshiba....not in a billion years. Even us pros don't have a way to recover them if the ROM contents are lost (such as if you overheat that chip). All of the drive specific adaptives are stored there in that IC602.

Thanks for the replies and comments. What if I took the female connector off the new PCB, and re-soldered it onto the old board ? Would that work ?
