Anyone tried these headcombs?

I have the DDL Level 2 combs and they are okay, but only get one for each drive type. Some of them are not a particularly good fit so you can end up with the heads not separated enough and touching once removed from the ramp, a difficult job re-installing the heads because they are not separated enough, or the comb rotating out from between the heads while you invert the drive to remove the HSA bottom screw. I use SD combs for the patient and the DDL ones for the donor. I've read somewhere a complaint that HDDSurgery-like combs scratch the platters, but I'd have to track that down to be sure whose/which combs they were referring to.

Ok, so today I opened the box ehehehe
I tested this head comb: http://www.hddheadtools.com/product/sea ... d-7200-12/

Took a while to check how to "plug it in". I just had 3 drives here to play and only one was supported...
But, on the one that fit, it was pretty good. One thing is missing: a way to avoid the head to get out from the comb. Sometimes I felt I needed 3 hands.
Besides that, it was smooth and felt assured that it does what is necessary.

PS: By the way: how may kits of head swap tools do you have??

Thanks for the quick review, Nuno. I see it's lacking the locking pin that's on HDDSurgery tools. Would be interesting to compare with ER-Tools Seagate combs. I think Jared has them and likes them, IIRC.

Yeah the owner had been sick and seemed to have shelved the business for a bit. I do like the tools for drives without ramps. I think I paid around $200 for the Seagate set. Wish I had bought the WD ones too.
