hp va7100 raid, fiberchannel, 520sectors

I received a raid... 6 36gb drives
First surprise - it was fiberchannel - got that handled

Second surprise - 520byte sectors - ok got them converted to 512

Looking at the data I dont see a parity pattern that I recognize.
I do see unix style inodes - but its not a unix that I recognize.

Anybody got any tips on how to solve this ?

One drive seems to have corrupt glist, it ticks softly 10times and newver recailibrates or spines down.

Are there any glist repair tools for fiberchannel - its a st336752fc

SAN data recovery is its own animal completely. It won't follow any of the standards you're accustomed to. Most likely there are multiple virtual disks on there, fragmented and striped over the top of each other. Only a SAN expert will know how to read the metadata and build the LUNs into disk images.

I have a guy that does them, but you're not going to like the price.

Before you waste time looking at the fiirmware, open the drive up in a clean room and look at the platters. SAS drives don't spin down like their SATA counterparts do when the heads are bad. I'd bet the platters are toast.
