Is this can be done ?
I'm trying to read modules by hot swap in model wd20nmvw (shrek),after put sata pcb I can read modules from current disk fine but if doing hot swap to another (even good drive) same model and fw I can't read modules (and both drives have same dir location) .

I replaced the heads and now reading is extremely slow, did slow fix in MRT and it say ok but nothing changed.
I'm not sure it is the standard wd slow issue, after power on the drive get id pretty fast but then start to be slow this will be every time I power on the drive.

Did you try to head map and check each head speed? And did you try different parts of drive some different LBA? Sometimes could be slow sectors usually at beginning 0 to around 40 GB sometimes 0 t0 80-90 GB
Clear smart also help.
And u can set disallow reallocate defect (remove tick in HDD I'd section)

I cleared smart, untick enable reallocate, and still all heads in all area reading at 10kb :(
Is it can be low motor speed ?

Extremely unlikely. Most likely the heads are only minimally compatible. Perhaps the microjogs are a bit too far off.

Are you getting any bad sectors or just all slow reading?

My last 2 guess
1) try with another PCB.
2) module problem or bad sector in SA. Solution sometimes have risk. I tried with garbage drives. Sometimes working. Sometimes disk died. Backup all modules ById and rewrite to disk. Do not read by track. I lost 2 drives after read by track

I can advice if you can see folder structure , setup readonly (task 》task params 》readonly) go folder right click and image current item It would image only selected folders. I used with very slow Samsung drive imaged full speed selected folders.

Another possibility about target drive could be slow. Could be connected slow port over usb or somewhere.

I even can't read modules by id it was extremely slow.

But I found temporary solution,I boot drive from head 01 and boom reading at full speed and backup fw.
But now I have another problem, the decryption key works for first 7000000 sectors then data returns to be encryption.

Actually maybe all is right, just get nervous from this millions of sectors like this, after a while they stop then come again, is this the remnants of deleted files ?
