Anyone with the latest PC-3000 and a monster CPU?

So I've been playing around with the compressed image format of the new DE version. But, I'm finding that while compressing areas that are full of data, the speed is dropping from 120Mb/s (in the blank areas) to around 50-60Mb/s when it's full of data.

I see my i5 CPU is hitting around 95% utilization, so perhaps that is the bottleneck.

I'm just curious if anyone out there has a monster CPU with 10+ cores as well as the latest PC-3000 and would like to tet the speed on their CPU.

I've got no problem upgrading my CPU to something like a Ryzen Threadripper if it'll really work well, but I'd hate to drop $2K just to find out the limitation is in the software and not the CPU.

OK, so since no one was able to answer this question for me, I'll answer it myself. I upgraded my PC-3000 Express system from running an i5 with 4 cores to a Ryzen Threadripper which has a whopping 16 cores. Now I'm able to image drives over 120Mb/s(probably the drive's own limit) and only hit around 30-40% CPU utilization. So it looks like you need around 6-8 cores per imaging task to be able to handle the imaging at full speed with no slowdowns from compression.

I'm glad I went with the 16 core since I'm usually imaging two or three at a time on this station. :D
