TVS Diodes

Hey Guys

When you remove the diodes from PCB, you replace them for new ones?
If yes, where do you buy them?
I can't seem to find them near me.....
And when I ask for them, no one knows the models...
Thanks

I don't replace them, I just backup ROM first thing then image the data. Or program another PCB if I don't trust it. As long as you've got a good power supply and run on a UPS you should have no issue running a drive without it long enough to extract the data.

@Jared

Sometimes, the HDD's are in perfect health, so if we replace them, we can still continue to use them. They work without it, but if we can replace them, even better,

@Larry

Thanks, that's what I need.

PS: just bought 20 of each for 2€ total ehehheh

Sorry, I guess I don't really ever think in terms of "saving" the drive. Once I've got the data copied, it's pretty much scrap in my mind. Unless I need parts from it for another recovery project :D .
