WD5000BMVV - 11SXZS1 ROM Needed

Hello,

WD 500GB USB (WD5000BMVV - 11SXZS1) with a damaged ROM. I found out the ROM was swollen on arrival.
What are my chances of getting anything out this one ? I contacted ACE Support, and was told to download
all ROMs and try it one after the other on the SATA(Donor).. How many ROMs do I have to get ?? and is there a
better way ? am still downloading all related ROMs, and am currently at No.12...

Since there is no way to rebuild the ROM on that family, you're just hoping to get lucky. You may never find one that's close enough in the adaptive data to work. Or, you might. The only time I've seen a non-native ROM work that way, was when it was a matching drive manufactured the same exact day. Maybe others have had different experiences with it.

I finally got a matching ROM, atfer at 24th tries. No single Bad Sector, imaging@ 85mb/s...
