Hello

This is a very common hdd, you don't have a close as : WD2500BEVS-XXUSTX is your stock, or you can use a WD3200BEVS in place head map should be 0/1/2/3 on your patient.

Good Luck

no need even the same family (and not the same model at all) can be a match
and of course, if you have the same model on the first part, and 2-3 middle characters of the second part, can match

Agreed, the first two digits and last digit after the dash don't matter as far as I can tell. I'd take a -60UST0 with a closer DCM over a -11UST0 with that further off. If the drive you have has CT2 in the DCM and a date within a few months, it should work.

hi, i think any MCKinley with the right DCM should work, i would keep the same family for areal density match (check SPT values ;) )
about the other values on mdl:
WD2500BEVS-11UST0

customer id 11 is WD Protégé OEM
family id US is mcKinley
customer configuration code T0 should be generation 0 for specific reseller (internal code T)

so you can match only US ... other possible McKinley are SN UR SP SR and UT

bye

Hey Guys

So, I followed your advices and got a UST drive.

Thanks
