Today a customer bring me a 8 TB WD drive. with a broken PCB (with wrong electrical connection), and a working PCB that have bought from Aliexpres. He asked me to the ROM transfer.
Drive is WD80EFAX 001-0B36131 WD rebranded HGST .
HGST HUS726T6TALE6L4 004-0B36131
This PCB has 2 ROM chip as in picture. Physicaly swapped both. And drive worked. Never saw that size chip before. its small then usual.
