So I'm working my way through some boxes of hard drives dropped off here for wiping. SSDs don't get dropped here too often and when they do we normally just use the manufacturer's utility to secure reset them and make recovery impossible.
Today I got two Samsung SSDs in for wiping that are too old to support the Samsung Magician tool and it's reset capability. I'll probably run a D.o.D. wipe on them regardless, but I'd also like to issue a T.R.I.M. command to tell the SSD to itself wipe all the sectors.
Anyone know a good utility (free or paid) that can be used to do this manually?
