Has anyone ever experimented with a way to rebuild a damaged or lost T-List using the P-List from a WD drive? It's a possibility I've often wondered about. If you look at the reports from both, you can see that all the tracks from the T-List are contained in the P-List as well. There's just extra info in there as well.
I remember a case I had a few years ago where lost T-List was the downfall of a case, and it just couldn't be done at the time.
For example, would it hurt to have extra tracks in the T-List that weren't originally in there? How large can the T-List be before it shuts down....or gets full.
Anyway, I've attached a T-List and P-List directory from the same healthy drive. I removed the entries that are specific sectors from the P-List leaving just the full tracks. Any Ideas how one could extract one from the other?
