Hello,

I need some help.
The connector from my WD80WFAX is broken and I need the data from the HDD.
I know, I can buy a new PCB but the price is about 30$.
My solution is to change only the SATA connector.
Can anybody tell me what is the correct description for the connector or post me an link?
I have see that the manufacturer is Amphenol but I cant find the connector in their products.

Thanks and regards
Manuel

You should be able to take the connector off a discarded 3.5" drive and transplant it to yours, assuming you have the requisite equipment and skills. Check with local PC repair shops for used or Digi-Key if you need new.

The time it will take you to repair it, a new pcb would be a lot faster only with ROM swap. And you could keep it running fine again.
