WD5000LMVW-11CKRS0 HSA swap

Hi,

I currently have one of these drives here for recovery. I have not seen them much but with this one I have a problem. Head 1 is not reading any data but drive IDs and gets RDY. I first converted to sata, unlocked SA, checked modules (all fine) and imaged head 0. Next step was a headswap which is a pain on these super thin drives, there were no scratches on platter, all looked clean. After headswap drive does not ID, 0 capacity but gets RDY. Changed heads back donor & patient work normal again. So I would think heads do not match but they normaly should as specs of the donor were the same.

Anyone has experience with hubble family and can point me in the right direction? Picture of donor & patient attached.
best regards,
pcn

I think you need to match more of the DCM code. I always make sure to match the CVJ part.

Thank you, drive specs (preamp/channel chip/..) were the same but I will try a better dcm match and will report back how it went
