Hello all

I have a seagate barracuda 2 TB
Model : ST2000DM001
Family : 58 , gernada

the head looks fine , few bad sectors , the problem is the imaging speed is to slow less than 1MB/Sec
i am using pc3000 UDMA
any one have an idea what could be the problem ??

Do you have to image the whole drive?
Maybe if you just get the files you need, using DE, you can get the data without messing with the HDD.
 
yes sure but at that speed less than 1MB will take at least 5 days , i post the problem to just if some one know it can be speed up maybe buffer issue or any hint may help

Have you gone it to the "Edit Drive ID" menu and disable everything such as auto reallocation? Also you can try clearing defects list and SMART to see if that's the issue.

Also it could be an issue with the PCB, never hurts to rule that out.
