Hey folks, our team is looking for a new collaboration tool, but we’ve been burned before by shiny features that didn’t turn into real value. What are the must-check criteria and red flags when evaluating software vendors? What has your real-world experience shown?

We picked a CRM once based purely on UI screenshots, and discovered six months in that major integrations were missing. Now, I always demand a live demo with my own data and ask for explicit export capabilities. Knowing you can leave easily matters as much as what you can do now.
