Does anyone else ever seem to find Seagates (especiall DM's) that after a headswap will ID once, work very slowly, and then never will power on again until you replace heads again. I've had quite a number of cases like this, a few I even replaced the heads multiple times and it just kept happening.
Maybe it's just media damage killing the heads over and over. I'm just curious if it's happening to other people. I don't have that issue with any other brand.
